You can also make appointments over the internet. To do this you will need to register for online services (called Patient Access) please click here for more information or ask at reception for details.
Please ensure that when you arrive you book in. This can either be done with the receptionists or using the touch screens that are placed in reception or both waiting rooms.
Some doctors consult from the first floor and so these patients should make their way upstairs to the waiting room on the first floor where they will be called in.
Normally we will call you in by the use of the television screen and a bell will sound. The screen which will show your name, the doctor you are to see and the room that they are in.
If you think you have booked in but have not been called and think you have been forgotten please go to reception to check.
If you arrive late we do not guarantee that you will be seen. If we are able to see you it may be at the end of surgery to prevent other patients being seen late.
Patients who fail to attend appointments :
At the present time we often have over 200 appointments each month where patients do not attend and have not told us they are not coming. This is a huge number and is unacceptable as it means that many patients who would have attended have to wait longer to be seen. In fact the situation is worse than we have described as many of these patients then rebook thus taking up another appointment slot that would have gone to someone else if they had turned up in the first place.
It is your responsibility to let us know if you cannot make your appointment. Even if you ring an hour before it frees up a slot for someone else and we can be certain it will be snapped up quickly.
