Attendance Allowance

Attendance Allowance is for people over the age of 65 who need a lot of looking after. They must need care because of illness or disability. Attendance Allowance takes account of how much care the person needs. It makes no difference whether the person is actually getting the care. A person may be eligible even if they live alone. Attendance Allowance does not depend on a person's finances. if someone lives in their own home, Attendance Allowance does not cause any other benefit to be reduced.
